I'm sorry, but this movie is a waste of time. Kubrick was a brilliant filmmaker, but even he can make a stinker. Well, here it is. There is no sense of pacing, no character development, and the acting is just AWFUL! Shall I explain? Well, for a movie that is as long as it is, is sure goes nowhere fast. Talk about a snail's pace. Jack Torrance was supposed to slowly descend into madness due to the effects of alcohol and the spirits that surrounded him. In this movie, he is normal one second, and out of his mind the next. The acting. First the kid. Whenever he did speak it was like he was reading right off the page. Oh, and talking to his finger? That has to be one of the most unintentionally hilarious things in any movie of the last 20 years. Give me a break. Shelly Duvall just sleepwalked through this movie. Could her voice be just a little more annoying? Nicholson. He was being Jack Nicholson when he was supposed to be Jack Torrance. I don't know which performance was hammier, this or the Joker. It's as if he knew how stiff everyone else in the movie was, and he had to make up for it by going WAY over the top. Laughable and not scary. Now to its credit, the movie does have some scary visuals. The stedicam work created a very creepy feel, and some the exterior shots of the snowbound hotel were very eerie. The whole maze scene was creepy for about 30 seconds and then got dull. The tv remake was not only more faithful to the book, but the acting was better. Yes it was! The actors remained faithful to the characters and the material. In just about every way, the remake was superior. This movie was NOT scary! I was 10 years old when I first saw it. I remember it vividly, because that night I also saw the scariest movie ever made, John Carpenter's Halloween. That movie scared the crap out of me. That is what a great horror film should be. The Shining, however, almost put me to sleep. Sorry Mr. Kubrick. Oh, and Mr. Nicholson? Switch to decaf.

Most unsettling parts for me is whenever it shows the blood spilling out the elevator/down the hallway. That and those bastard twins. This has the same energy as the Onision meltdown. Personally, I am so glad that had acknowledged that author Stephen King is definitely NOT a fan of the Stanley Kubrick film version of The Shining. But I am sure that NOT ALL people were fans of the film as well. I know that the moments in the 1980 film were scary, but they were not what Mr. King had envisioned in his novel. I also find it so sad that Kubrick NEVER apologized for having made the movie as a way of turning his back on Mr. King and presented an alternative horror film that suited only Kubrick.

Who else was here cus of the thumbnail :sweat_drops. I've always liked how Kubrick often used the same actors in different films. Joe Turkel (Lloyd the Bartender) was one of the WWI French soldiers executed by firing squad in Paths of Glory, and Phillip Stone (Grady) played Alex's father in A Clockwork Orange. Free download film the shining. One of my favorite scenes in the entire movie. We see the twins, we see Lloyd, we see the woman in Room 237. One by one we see someone that's not supposed to be at the Overlook, and then we see a whole ball taking place. While it's highly possible that people in the audience are shocked at the number of ghosts (or whatever they are) Jack just goes in like he's a part of it without any hesitation or shock, even the whole scene itself starts so naturally, with jazz music in the background and no frightening images. It completely contrasts the surprise that the audience should be getting out of this scene. I love it.

Here the excellent Kinnaman plays an ex-con named "Pete Koslow" who has to help the FBI put away a polish Druglord but he gets into a hell of a lot of danger when an undercover Cop gets killed & he has to go back to prison, that's a little bit of the big complex story, just watch the incredible performances from Kinnaman, Common & Roseamund Pike, all give it their all in this gritty & incredibly intense Crime Thriller, there's Corruption here & a harsh reality to this movie, it's totally believable & you really feel for Kinnaman as Pete as he has a wife & a little girl, so the stakes are high here & the drama is engulfing.
Kinnaman & Rapper turned excellent Actor, Common both also starred together in the Liam Neeson Crime Thriller Run All Night, also an incredible film.

Las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) son un conjunto de servicios, redes, software y dispositivos que tienen como fin la mejora de la calidad de vida de las personas dentro de un entorno, y que se integran a un sistema de información interconectado y complementario. Esta innovación servirá para romper las barreras que existen entre cada uno de ellos.

Tecnologías de la información y la comunicación, son un solo concepto en dos vertientes diferentes como principal premisa de estudio en la ciencias sociales donde tales tecnologías afectan la forma de vivir de las sociedades. Su uso y abuso exhaustivo para denotar modernidad ha llevado a visiones totalmente erróneas del origen del término.

La ciencia informática se encargan del estudio, desarrollo, implementación, almacenamiento y distribución de la información mediante la utilización de hardware y software como recursos de los sistemas informáticos. Más de lo anterior no se encargan las tecnologías como tal.

Como concepto sociológico y no informático se refieren a saberes necesarios que hacen referencia a la utilización de múltiples medios informáticos para almacenar, procesar y difundir todo tipo de información, telemática, etc. con diferentes finalidades (formación educativa, organización y gestión empresarial, toma de decisiones en general, etc.).

Por tanto no trata del objeto concreto sino de aquellos objetos intangibles para la ciencia social. Por ejemplo democracia, y nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (NTIC) son dos conceptos que viajan en una misma dirección, mientras democracia es espíritu las NTIC son métodos, recursos, libertades que ofrecen transparencia a las gestiones gubernamentales.

A diferencia de la NTIC, las TI (Tecnologías de Informática) se encargan del diseño, desarrollo, fomento, mantenimiento y administración de la información por medio de sistemas informáticos, para información, comunicación o ambos. Esto incluye todos los sistemas informáticos no solamente las computadoras, éstas son sólo un medio más, el más versátil, pero no el único; también las redes de telecomunicaciones, telemática, los teléfonos celulares, la televisión, la radio, los periódicos digitales, faxes, dispositivos portátiles, etc. Todas esas herramientas electrónicas de primera mano son de carácter determinante en la vida de todo profesional, sobre todo en el docente pues es él, el que se encargará de difundir la importancia de esta nueva tecnología.

Las TIC se conciben como el universo de dos conjuntos, representados por las tradicionales Tecnologías de la Comunicación (TC) - constituidas principalmente por la radio, la televisión y la telefonía convencional - y por las Tecnologías de la información (TI) caracterizadas por la digitalización de las tecnologías de registros de contenidos (informática, de las comunicaciones, telemática y de las interfaces)”. Las TIC son herramientas teórico conceptuales, soportes y canales que procesan, almacenan, sintetizan, recuperan y presentan información de la forma más variada. Los soportes han evolucionado en el transcurso del tiempo (telégrafo óptico, teléfono fijo, celulares, televisión)ahora en ésta era podemos hablar de la computadora y de Internet. El uso de las TIC representa una variación notable en la sociedad y a la larga un cambio en la educación, en las relaciones interpersonales y en la forma de difundir y generar conocimientos.

Telecomunicaciones [editar]

Este tipo de tecnología en este nuevo siglo esta representada por los satélites, los cuales hacen que toda la información se transmita en menos de un segundo de un lugar a otro. También se encuentra la telefonía que ha tenido un desarrollo muy importante desde la fibra óptica hasta los dispositivos WiFi (redes inalámbricas), con los cuales tenemos un sin fin de ventajas como son: el aspecto económico, la velocidad de transmisión.

Informática [editar]

En esta categoría se destacan los dispositivos donde el hardware y el software están interconectados el uno con el otro. También son muy utilizadas tanto en clases informáticas de institutos tanto publicos como privados y estas clases consisten en una clase de informatica básica más un pequeño suplemento de diseño de webs , diseño grafico mediante software y hadware , photoshop , imageready , excel , word , entre otros. Una parte muy importante dentro de la informática son las bases de datos que cada vez van formando parte de nuestras vidas y por lo consiguiente el software esta relacionado junto con este banco de información. Gracias a estos nuevos software se pueden manipular, agregar información en cuestión de segundos.

La informática también ha ayudado en otros campos como son la medicina, al crear simuladores de distintos procesos que ayudan a reducir el margen de error dentro de alguna cirugía o algún procedimiento.

La instrumentación tecnológica es una prioridad en la comunicación de hoy en día. Las tecnologías de la comunicación son una importante diferencia entre una civilización desarrollada y otra en vías de desarrollo. Éstas poseen la característica de ayudar a comunicarnos ya que, a efectos prácticos, en lo que a captación y transmisión de información se refiere, desaparece el tiempo y las distancias geográficas.

Educación [editar]

Medios o recursos que pueden propiciar el aprendizaje y desarrollo de las personas. El tipo de aprendizaje desarrollado dependerá del sentido y supuestos epistemológicos en que se base el modelo de enseñanza.

Carácter dual [editar]

La tecnología es dual por naturaleza ya que el impacto de ésta se verá afectado dependiendo del uso que le de el usuario: se puede ayudar a una comunidad rural a aprender por medio de la televisión, como también se puede explotar una bomba por medio de un teléfono celular. El uso de las tecnologías también es dual ya que pueden servir como medio de información y de entretenimiento así como también sirven de capacitación y como formación de tipo laboral, pues quien domine el campo de la informática tendrá más oportunidades de ser aceptado en el mundo laboral.

En cualquiera de los dos aspectos depende de los usuarios ofrecer contenidos de calidad, ya que es la audiencia quien determina y exige el tipo de contenidos que desea. Por tal motivo se habla de la implicación de las tecnologías dentro de la construcción social. La audiencia debe ser educada de una manera creativa, para que exijan contenidos de calidad y se elimine la marginación de mercado, ya que la programación "en el caso de la televisión, la radio y la computación está dirigida sólo a ciertos consumidores.

Las TIC y el tercer sector [editar]

Es común también comprender las TIC en relación a su magnitud (Internet) Las Tic o Ntic tienen por objeto aportar claridad para conceptos aún más abstractos como la sociedad del conocimiento, la cual se asume fue acuñada por Peter Drucker. El surgimiento, especialmente Internet está transformando las posibilidades de acceso a la información en el mundo entero, cambiando nuestra manera de comunicar y también las rutinas diarias en los ámbitos de trabajo. Las ONG’s no han quedado al margen y al contrario han visto facilitado su trabajo gracias a ellas. Las ventajas que ofrecen las NTIC a las ONG’s son:

• Comunicación fácil y a bajo coste.
• Espacios de difusión, ej. [Ciberactivismo].
• Presencia mundial en el sector.
• Posibilidad de fundraising, ej Ciberfundraising.
• Mayor respuesta y velocidad a sus fines
• Coordinación central y distribuida para la mejor toma de decisiones
• Mayor impacto
• Mejor respuesta

Hay ONGs que han sacado gran partido a estas herramientas como las exitosas campañas de movilización social y captación de socios de Amnistía Internacional, Greenpeace, Intermón-Oxfam, Médicos sin Fronteras o Friends of the Earth.

Sin embargo, pese a la gran cantidad de tecnología y herramientas disponibles hay Organizaciones que están quedando al margen de ella, y es lo que se conoce como Brecha Digital. Así surgen ONGs dispuestas a reducir esa brecha, como es el caso de:

• Ordenadores sin fronteras.
• Circuit riders son profesionales de ICT que pueden visitar su organización para apoyarlo con sus necesidades de IT.
• Iwith.org, fundación internacional que cree en el poder de las nuevas tecnologías para desarrollar el mundo.
• Fondo mundial de Solidaridad Digital (FSD).
• Social Source Commons
